Lalthanthuom comes from a long line of poor farmers unable to break the cycle of poverty. His family is solely dependent on the small plot of land they farm along the hilly and rugged terrains of Northeast India. This is a very physically demanding way to make a living with very little opportunity to break the cycle of poverty. Lalthanthuom's parents pray for a different future for their precious son. By God's grace, Lalthanthuom does not have to follow in the footsteps of previous generations. With an education, he can cultivate the potential within him and pave the way to a brighter future for himself. Knowing the impact education will have on Lalthanthuom's future, his parents have enrolled him in our mission school by faith. But without the blessing of a sponsor, he will soon have to end his schooling. Your sponsorship will be the difference between a life of poverty and hardship with that filled with opportunities.
