Bliss Mate lives with her tree brothers, her sister and parents in the village of Thuibuang, in the hills of Northeast India. Poverty has been a reality for young Bliss. Unable to find secure jobs, both her parents work as Day Laborers, finding work when they can. Without a proper income there is no money for education for their five children. But Bliss' parents realize that an education is needed to provide new opportunities and a better way of life for their daughter.
