Scofield lives with his family in the village of Sielmat, in the Northeastern hills of Manipur, India. He is the oldest boy in his family and being the only male, more is expected of him by his parents and society. His father comes from a long line of carpenters, but sadly his work does not provide enough to cover all of his family's needs. Scofield's parents realize how important an education is and are hoping that he will receive sponsorship to continue to attend school.
