Remruotsang is the handsome son of a "shifting cultivator" in the Northeast Indian hill country of Manipur. Remruotsang, his brother, 2 sisters and parents attend the Evangelical Free Church of India. A shifting cultivator burns down a section of hillside jungle and then plants a crop. After the November harvest, they move on to new areas and start the process again. Not only is this a very poor way to support a family, it ruins the environment. Remruotsang has just started attending the Partnership Mission School where he is in nursery school. His favorite activity is learning new songs. A Christian education will ensure a bright future for Remruotsang. But he is in need of a sponsor to lend a hand for his schooling fees as his parents cannot support him and his siblings.
