Saiphul lives in the remote village of Lumshnong in the Northeast Indian state of Meghalaya. He is one of five children in his family. Saiphul's family lives in poverty. Both parents are daily laborers. They make a living by doing odd jobs in construction sites, cleaning or working in rice paddy fields during harvest time. Saiphul will never have a chance in life or find a way to break the cycle of poverty without an education. Saiphul is currently attending our mission school in his village despite belonging to a Muslim family. He is in Kindergarten. He is praying for a sponsor so he can continue in his studies. Saiphul does not have to remain in poverty and poor conditions of previous generations. With sponsorship, he can continue attending our mission school under Godly teachings.
