Job Chungrosiem Zote lives with his family in the village of Taithu and attends Taithu Partner Mission School. His favorite subject in school is math. When we asked him what he wants to be when he grows up he said, "Nurse." Job Chungrosiem Zote's health is fair and he is doing good in his studies. Taithu is a rural village of about 1,150 people nestled upon one of the many beautiful, green hills of Northeast India. Taithu is situated in the Southwest corner of the state of Manipur near the borders of Mizoram and Assam. Taithu is home to the Hmar tribe. The local people of Taithu are mainly farmers, growing crops of wheat, ginger, chilies, and a small number grow pineapple and other fruits. The primary mode of transportation in Taithu is walking. Taithu Partner Mission School is a small school making a huge difference. Historically this is an area where many of the people have not been formally educated, so this school is truly changing the future for the next generation. Taithu Partner Mission School has seven staff members and an enrollment of around 85 students.
